Partner and Senior Financial Adviser Shane Fisher joined MiQ in January 2019. With over 17 years of experience, Shane’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce (USQ) (Major in Accounting with minors in financial markets and personal advice), a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) – Tribeca / Kaplan, an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) – Tribeca / Kaplan, and an Advanced studies in self-managed superannuation from the Adelaide University
His role at MiQ involves strategic personal advice to people and providing them with guidance, discipline, motivation and accountability to help them achieve their personal and financial goals.
Shane is dedicated to providing quality, high-level, technical advice that can address the needs of his clients both at the granular level as well as broad larger and longer-term goals.
He firmly believes that financial freedom is never determined on how much you earn, rather, by how much you spend, and always tailors strategies for his clients that suit their individual circumstances and needs.
In his spare time, Shane enjoys studying and training in karate (Zen Do Kai) and Muay Thai, which he has been doing for about 30 years. He has a 7th degree black belt in karate and 3rd degree (Kru) in Muay Thai.
Other interests include mountain biking, camping, 4wd trips, and computer gaming, as well as researching the warring history of Japan.
